They have gained territory such as a Vehicle Depo they use for construction equipment and a warehouse used as a resupply point for scouts, but also the location of the supplies stolen by Joan.Ī New Frontier " Ties That Bind - Part 1"Ī detachment of the group was scouting a junkyard, coming across Javier, Mariana, Gabe and Kate. The group is currently expanding throughout the ruins of Richmond, clearing the streets of walkers and pushing walls outwards. She kept this secret from the rest of the council and most of the community. Joan, Head of Diplomacy on Richmond's ruling council, began organizing for some of their soldiers to raid other communities to get supplies for them and New Richmond. In the first year within New Richmond, a bad winter that lead to the deaths of many residents struck. They started to integrate and defend the community's residents, all of which was unknown to Clementine, though she was aware of the town of "Richmond" beforehand. This took place just before the group discovered the community of " Richmond" (to which they later renamed " New Richmond" after taking over), and set up a headquarters there. Not to long after, Clementine was exiled for stealing medicine and the infant boy called Alvin Jr. In addition to his membership, David also gave Paul a place on their ruling council as Head of Medicine.Īround a year before the events of " Ties That Bind - Part 1", a teenage girl called Clementine, along with the orphaned infant boy she was caring for, became members. David personally helped him with his problems and made him an offer to join the New Frontier. During this time, they met a former doctor suffering from depression and addiction, the man's name was Paul Lingard. After this, the group became largely nomadic again, now in the process of finding a place to rebuild. This event made the New Frontier very untrusting and they ended up having to leave the orchard behind. They all worked together to defend and nurse the orchard back to life, but an unexplained event involving "trusting the wrong damn people" led to a betrayal of some sort, which is briefly mentioned by David in " Above The Law" when explaining the group's history. Soon enough, using Clint's scientific knowledge of botany, Joan's charisma and David's military skillset, they officially founded "The New Frontier" and formed its leading council. Eventually, the group set up around a dying orchard on the banks of the Shenandoah River, where they were soon approached by two other survivors, Clinton Barnes and Joan. As time went on, more civilian survivors likely began to join, and due to the group's growing membership, they decided to look for a place to settle down. The beginnings of the group can be traced back to the very start of the outbreak, when David teamed up with his close friend Ava and the rest of his old army unit it is likely that most of the these active or former soldiers went on to became among the first members of the New Frontier. Sometime after the outbreak, the group was officially formed by former soldier David García, along with two others, Joan and Clinton Barnes.
